Kim was crowned Poet Laureate of Prince William County, Manassas & Manassas Park, Virginia on Oct. 24, 2020 by the Prince William County Arts Council. Kim is the First African American Poet Laureate for Prince William County, Manassas & Manassas Park, VA. She will be Poet Laureate Oct. 2020- Oct 2022. For more info click here.

2019 Southern Fried Haiku Champion
Southern Fried Poetry Slam is an annual poetry event celebrating and promoting spoken word. It is one of the largest Spoken Word and Performance Poetry tournaments in the world. It is an exciting event that attracts individual spoken word poets and poetry teams. Kim competed in the haiku competition. She made it to the finals in 2019 where she ultimately won.



Kim is the 2018 BPC Slam Champion.



Kim was a finalist in the Poet of the Year category for the Indie Author Legacy Awards, 2017.
