Blog: Thinking About Fear

Fear is a constantly moving target, as we evolve and grow so does it. The amazing thing about fear is we control it.  We invite fear in and we get it intertwined with out daily life. The only way to deal with fear is to address it head on. What has you so terrified? Why don’t you believe in yourself?

Getting a “no” does not mean you failed it’s means you can’t do it that way, at that time. Once you decide to walk through your fear you gain strength and the next obstacle won’t seem as big.  Everyone who has succeeded failed first they just didn’t give up.

Don’t let you anxiety cheat you out of a victory. YOU control it. Don’t let it control you.

First try “it” and accept upfront that there are times that you will fail. No one is successful 100 percent of the time. If you believe that they are then you made a false narrative in your head.

Next celebrate the steps you take. Every step toward a goal is progress. Don’t overlook it.

Learn from your mistakes. Don’t beat yourself up. Make better choices next time. Fear will not just go away unless you work on yourself and your vision of yourself. You will be able to deal with it better when you decide you will try despite fear. Staying “safe” doing only safe or minor things is not living. Go spread your wings. After the first flight you will wonder what kept you stuck.

Fear is a mind game. It’s time you picked a side.
