Write Now – A Writing Circle for Women and Girls This project co-directed by Kim B Miller and Shaquetta Nelson supported by leading DMV-area journalists, educators, and poets with financial support from the Cornelia T Bailey Foundation and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. The purpose of Write Now is to support writing by women and girls. Writings including: essays, short stories, journalism, and poetry. Part of the program is geared toward high school students, including monthly club meetings with activities and field trips led and accompanied by the project directors and additional professional female writers. The monthly field trips, begin May 2022 and they will occur every third Sunday of each month from 10:00 AM -2:00 PM. The last meeting is in September 2022. There is no fee for the program and lunch and activities fees are included.
